New owner plans renovation following deal with deferred maintenance
KBR Properties, a private New Jersey-based owner, has acquired the 219,307-square-foot Shawnee Mall for $7.3 million.
Located near Interstate 40 at 4901 N. Kickapoo Ave., this regional mall is anchored by Dillard’s, Kohl’s, Ashley Furniture, Ross and Golden Ticket Cinema.
The seller, StreetMac, is a commercial real estate firm specializing in malls and property management. KBR plans major capital improvements and aims to expand the mall’s tenant mix. At the time of the sale, there was deferred maintenance work, according to marketing materials.
